25 YEAR OLD FOOTBALLER TRAGICALLY DIES ON PITCH AFTER BALL HIT HIS CHEST

A Croatian footballer, Bruno Boban, has tragically died at the age of just 25 after collapsing during a match.

Bruno Boban played for Marsonia in his homeland and was the leading marksman in the third tier.

With 15 minutes during Marsoni’s clash with Slavonija Pozega, Bruno Boban was hit in the chest with the ball from close range.

Play continued and he appeared fine. However, minutes later Bruno dropped to the ground.He had appeared to completely lose consciousness before collapsing onto the floor.

Immediately, players from both sides realised the gravity of the situation and called for aid.

Medics were quickly on the scene and spent 40 minutes trying to revive him.

Medics tried desperately to resuscitate him, but Bruno Boban was pronounced dead moments later.

His team-mates and opponents struggled to fight back the tears, as they watched the events unfold.

As yet, the exact cause of his death has not yet been explained.
