EDO PDP SPONSORS BILL TO STOP OPEN GRAZING
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Edo Chapter, has
explained that it was due to its concerns for the well-being and security of
lives of people of the state that motivated its sponsor of a bill for the
prohibition of open grazing in the state.
The Chairman of the Party Chief Dan
Orbih disclosed this during the weekend in Benin City at a public lecture organized
by the Gate keepers, Non-Political Organization committed to the enthronement
and sustenance of true democracy in Nigeria.
Orbih called on the State Government to always be
accountable to the people and rise up to its responsibilities of the protection
of lives and property of the people. The Governor also donated the sum of
N200,000 to the widow of late Omoregie Efosa, with 9 children who was allegedly
killed by herdsmen at his farm in Oben, Orhiomwon Local Government Area of the
state last year.
