FATHER OF 10 HANGS SELF TO DEATH IN ANAMBRA COMMUNITY

A 75-year-old father of 10 children, Chief Charles Okafor, with the title: Ozo Ogbukiyi, has reportedly committed suicide in Akitinyi village, Urum, in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra state.

The deceased was said to have used a wrapper to hang himself to the roof of his room at about 7am.

It was gathered that the incident happened last week.

A member of the family  summarized that,  “He had a conversation with the wife before she went out, only to be called on phone that her husband had committed suicide,” he said.

Another relation, Chimezie Udekwe, who described the deceased’s action as mysterious and painful, wondered what would become the fate of the children he left behind.

He however hinted that efforts were on to unravel the cause of the suicide.
