MESSI WALKS OUT AS SPAIN DEFEATS ARGENTINA 6-1

Argentina captain, Lionel Messi was forced to watch their 6-1 humiliation in the hands of Spain from the stands.


Messi was seen walking back into the box as soon after Isco had completed his hat-trick in the 74th minute. Diego Costa, Thiago and Iago Aspas also got on the scoresheet

Messi missed the game and Friday night’s 2-0 win over Italy due to fatigue in his hamstring and adductor.

He watched the match from a hospitality box with teammate and West Ham star Manuel Lanzini and showed a range of emotions including frustration, disbelief and pure exasperation.

Argentina have been drawn with Iceland, Croatia and Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
