NEW RANGER ROVER SV COUPE HIT DEBUT
At the Geneva Motor Show this week, Jaguar Land
Rover debuted its latest entry into this growing field: the Range Rover SV
Coupe. The luxury ride, which starts at $295,000, looks like a two-door,
squished version of the Range Rover Sport, or a Range Rover Velar with an even
more sloping back. In other words, it fits right in.
The front fascia of the Range Rover SV Coupe
features a single piece aluminum grille and the side profile sports a vent
sitting ahead of the frameless door. The Range Rover SV Coupe gets the
signature floating roof design. The rear windshield is raked, and the tailgate
features a chrome strip connecting the tail light cluster.
The Range Rover SV Coupe also becomes the first
Range Rover SUV to get an option of 23-inch alloy wheel. Only 999 units of
Range Rover SV Coupe will be produced. The SUV Coupe will be hand-assembled as
per the requirement of the customer.
The interior of the Range Rover SV Coupe is
luxurious with the dashboard featuring wood, leather and metal accents. The SUV
Coupe also gets In Control Touch Pro Duo twin 10-inch touch screens which were
seen on the Velar. The SUV also features power-close doors with frameless glass
which adds to the look of the SUV Coupe.
The new Range Rover SV Coupe also becomes the
fastest full-size Range Rover SUV from the house of British automaker. Powering
the SV Coupe is a 5-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine producing 557bhp. The
SUV can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 5 seconds before topping out at 265km/h.
The four-wheel-drive system on the Range Rover SV
Coupe comprises of a 2-speed transfer box and Active Locking Rear Differential.
The SUV also gets Terrain Response 2 system with multiple driving modes. The
SUV has a maximum towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes and maximum wading capacity of
900mm.
The Range Rover SV Coupe is a limited-edition model
based on the standard Range Rover SUV. It is also the world's first full-size
SUV coupe with the two-door design. The SV Coupe comes with all the luxury and
features similar to the standard five-door Range Rover SUV. The Range Rover SV
Coupe will hit the roads by the end of 2018.
