PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN TO INVITE THOUSANDS TO THEIR WEDDING
Britain’s Prince
Harry and his fiancee, Meghan Markle, have invited members of the public into
the grounds of Windsor Castle for their wedding in May, Kensington Palace said
Friday.
The prince and the US actress
“want their wedding day to be shaped so as to allow members of the public to
feel part of the celebrations too”, a spokesman said.
The group will be invited to
watch the arrivals of the bride, groom and their guests at St George’s Chapel
in Windsor Castle, a residence of Queen Elizabeth II’s located west of London.
They will also be able to watch the royal couple depart in a horse-drawn
carriage.
The guests will also include 200 people
from charities and organisations supported to Harry and Meghan, it was
announced today.
Around 100 pupils from two local schools, 610 Windsor Castle
community members and 530 members of the Royal Household will also be present.
The pair have invited a total of 2,640 people into the grounds.
The Queen and the rest of the royal family
will attend the wedding, along with Ms Markle’s parents Thomas Markle and Doria
Ragland. Prince George and Princess Charlotte are likely to take on the roles
of pageboy and bridesmaid. The royal family are paying for the wedding,
including the service, flowers and reception.
Harry met Suits star Ms Markle on a blind date and proposed
over a roast chicken dinner after a 16-month romance.
How romantic!!!
